City Heights Teens: Let MACSD Help You Get on KPBS

Speak City Heights partner Media Arts Center San Diego is looking for City Heights teens to join its Teen Producers Project. The program introduces area youth to filmmaking as a means of self-expression, covering everything from storyboarding to final credits. The program has produced more than 300 short films since 2001.

This time around, participants could see their work uploaded here on speakcityheights.org or broadcast on KPBS television channel 11. Just sign up for the summer session beginning June 27, then point your camera at friends and neighbors who have something to say about City Heights.

The program costs $185 a week, but 108 scholarships are available. The Media Arts Center San Diego is located at 2921 El Cajon Blvd. Click here to learn more.
