Border Click Connects Two Nations Through Art

On Wednesday, October 5, 2016, a group of young people gathered in City Heights for the first session of  The AjA Project’s Border Click project. Funded by the California Arts Council, Border Click was created in partnership with Tijuana artists Rebecca Goldschmidt and Josemar Gonzalez Lizarraga as a multimedia art project to document the complexities and everyday aesthetic encounters of the transfronterizo or transborder experience as participants navigate the Mexico/U.S Border crossing. Over the next nine months, Border Click’s transborder participants will use photography, video, and the written word to document their daily experiences moving between Tijuana and San Diego.
